Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ƛúxválásu'ailas Heiltsuk Hospital in Bella Bella, BC.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients/clients on the inpatient ward.
- Deliver care to predominantly older residents in a continuing care setting.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care to patients/clients of all ages.
- Enhance the quality of life for clients/residents/patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuous learning in nursing.
- Lead and mentor colleagues to achieve exceptional patient care.
- Participate in committees and research projects to advance healthcare.
Bella Bella is a picturesque island community off the central coast of British Columbia, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The ƛúxválásu'ailas Heiltsuk Hospital provides a range of services, including emergency care, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging, as well as telehealth and specialty clinics.
Requirements- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized advanced nursing program in emergency or critical care nursing, or equivalent experience.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
