Job Title: Physiotherapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at IMPACT Health. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation to ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Document patient rehabilitation progress to track and analyze treatment outcomes.
  • Process files and paperwork to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure seamless communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
