Job Title: Physiotherapy Assistant

At IMPACT Health, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the rehabilitation of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation to ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Document patient rehabilitation progress to track their improvement.
  • Process files and paperwork to maintain accurate records.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure seamless communication with patients.
  • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history to provide comprehensive care.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition to help them integrate into the workforce.
Support for Youths:
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth to help them develop their skills and confidence.
Supports for Visible Minorities:
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
