As a Business Development Specialist, Spine Division at Medtronic, you will be responsible for building and executing comprehensive strategic plans to exceed sales revenue targets on a quarterly basis. This role involves collaborating with Manager, Marketing, and other business unit colleagues to identify and close revenue-generating opportunities. You will provide detailed and bold sales forecasts, identifying risk, action items, and resources needed to achieve success. This position requires fluidly working across the Medtronic matrix and with key customers to evolve the role according to rapidly changing market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers
* Own, lead, and contribute to the account blue sheet and strategic selling process
* Liaise with Strategic Partnership Manager (SPM) and Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for account development

A Day in the Life

* Promote and sell Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets

* Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, including distributors and healthcare professionals
* Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services

* Promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services

* Conduct market research, including customers and competitors' activities
* Implement market development plans/strategies and changes as needed

* Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders, including R&D, Operations, and Marketing
* Report complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)

* Foster a strategic approach to drive consistent growth
* Be laser-focused to exceed AOP, each quarter, while diligently managing expenses
* Effectively manage/optimize consignment inventory

* The position requires a true entrepreneurial, 'hunter' skillset
* With Manager, coordinate the schedules of local Clinical Specialists (where applicable) to optimize procedural case coverage/patient programming and other required tasks

* Successful completion of required (and ongoing) product and sales-related training curriculum
* Compliance with completing Medtronic functional training and education modules

* Manage hospital, SSO, and GPO contracts (Pre-tender, Tender, Implementation)
* Build a robust Capital Funnel and associated Sales Plan

* Optimize increasing technical scope that often crosses OU lines
* Clearly articulate strategic objectives to navigate and deliver value to Provincial healthcare systems
* Establish education programs related to the company's products and/or services

* Drive share within the defined market and territory
* Ability to support account clinical support demands as required
* Implement and execute launch plans for defined portfolio

* Develop relationships and maintain continuity within the defined market
* Liaise with marketing and engage key clinical stakeholders and administrators in a broader 'value' story regarding the related product offering associated with the position
