At PRO STAR WALLS & CEILING LTD., we are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including commercial and residential settings. They will be required to work at heights, and will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the Framing Carpenter will include:

  • Reading blueprints and drawings to determine work requirements
  • Preparing layouts in conformance to building codes
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials
  • Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, and other features
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
Working Conditions

The Framing Carpenter will work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and varying working conditions. They will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and a hard hat.
