**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our team at OPENLANE/ADESA Vancouver, one of our 14 wholesale vehicle auctions across Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and grounds.

**Responsibilities**

  • Maintain the building interior and exterior by completing minor janitorial duties and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all buildings, including inspection, cleaning, and replacement of defective or used parts.
  • Monitor equipment and parts to identify current and future requirements and place orders as needed.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the lot and parking lots, including lawn and surrounding landscape maintenance, and removal of trash.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems to ensure they are operational and make minor repairs as necessary.
  • Responsible for snow and ice removal from the lots and walkways, and monitor inventory levels to place orders.
  • Assist the Lot team in loading vehicles into trailers and ensure the lot is maintained properly.

**Requirements**

  • Previous maintenance experience required.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance equipment and ability to operate a loader and skid steer.
  • Must be a self-starter and take initiative, with the ability to work independently.
  • Heavy lifting required.
  • Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract completed and cleared by ADESA is mandatory.
