About the Job

Vancity Concrete LTD is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the site for construction, including erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, and other equipment.
  • Mixing and Pouring Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment and machinery, including concrete vibrators, screeds, and forklifts.
  • Site Maintenance: Clean and pile salvaged materials, remove rubble and debris, and tend to equipment and machinery.
  • Traffic Control: Direct traffic at or near construction sites as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to learn and train on the job.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work at heights.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with concrete vibrators, screeds, concrete saws, air compressors, forklifts, and hand tools.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and attention to detail.
