Job Summary
Arrow Transportation Systems Inc is seeking a highly skilled Division Manager to lead our Ashcroft Mining Division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing short and medium-term corporate and operational goals and activities of the Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual Divisional strategic plans and budgets to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Ensure the division is financially successful while maintaining safety, regulatory, and legal compliance.
- Manage local operations to provide high-quality customer service at the lowest possible cost.
- Oversee Division maintenance to ensure compliance with company, industry, and government regulations and standards.
- Responsible for divisional human resource planning and utilization.
- Ensure divisional processes are conducted according to Operations Excellence, company, and divisional SOPs.
- Build a team of motivated, efficient, and productive employees through strong leadership, coaching, and direction.
- Provide employee-sensitive, considerate, and courteous leadership through fair treatment and open communication.
- Oversee the company's safety policies and programs, ensuring full compliance and leading by example.
- Cultivate and maintain a productive relationship with Arrow's customers and the local community.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven success and experience in a similar managerial capacity.
- Preference for post-secondary education in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
- Preference for trucking industry experience.
- Strong capacity for strategic thinking.
- Strong safety management mindset and experience.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Ability to lead by example.
- Extensive understanding of account and customer service management.
- Computer literate, including effective skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to adapt to and quickly learn new software.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Mechanical inclination is an asset.
