Cloud Storage Developer Lead

Job Description
This position involves leading the design, implementation, and operation of one of the world's largest distributed systems. We're seeking a highly experienced software development engineer to join our Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) team.
About the Role
- You will be responsible for developing high-performance virtualized storage solutions for Amazon EC2, working closely with a tight, agile team that delivers features continuously.
- We offer opportunities to develop software on the latest platforms and drive the roadmap for next-generation compute instances.
- As a senior software engineer, you will play an active role in all team meetings, lead project initiatives, and influence the team's long-term vision and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing software on the latest platforms, including AWS services.
- Designing, implementing, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of EBS with other AWS services.

Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
