Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet patients' needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Current Level C CPR certification and ACLS, CTAS required or acquired within twelve (12) months from date of hire.
  • One year's recent related experience working in an Emergency Department and/or a Critical Care Unit.
  • Completion of, or willingness to enroll in, a post-graduate Critical Care or Emergency Department Course.
