About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Island Burgers Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Keep stock clean and in order
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- Provide excellent customer service
- Coordinate and schedule activities
- Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
- Read and interpret work orders
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Organized and reliable
- Team player with a positive attitude
