Director of Logistics and Supply Chain

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Director of Operations to lead our operational efforts and drive efficiency for Core-Mark, the industry leader in fresh and broadline solutions for the convenience retail industry.
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in warehouse and transportation management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role for a team of more than 150 direct and indirect reports. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring standard operating procedures for warehousing, transportation, inventory, and security. Negotiating with vendors/suppliers for packaging, shrink wrap, pallets, parts, and other necessary items is also a key responsibility.
The Director of Operations will oversee all scheduling and delivery of incoming product and outbound product/customer deliveries, managing the department to achieve appropriate timeliness of delivery and highest quality of product. This position requires excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in project management and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is desirable.
