Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at DCT Chambers Trucking Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across the country.

Work Setting

Our company offers a permanent work arrangement with a competitive salary and benefits package. You will be required to work 35 to 70 hours per week, depending on the route and cargo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload goods at designated locations
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Accident or incident reports
  • Bill of lading
  • Driver logbook
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Maintenance and repair reports
  • Citizens band (CB) radio
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • Trip recorder (on-board computer)
