Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of accountants in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial services.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior accountants and other team members.
  • Communicate with clients regarding financial matters, including tax obligations, financial reporting, and other related issues.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing a team of professionals within the Public Accounting industry.
  • Experience with T1, T2, T3, and other tax forms is mandatory.
  • Strong technical background in Canadian Income Tax.
  • Experience with CaseWare and CCH (Tax Prep) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment characterized by changing priorities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
