Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training new employees, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Train new employees on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Recruit and hire food service staff, ensuring that all new employees meet the required standards.
  • Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other relevant data.
  • Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
