About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at MB Sudbury Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting our high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our financial means.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, as well as prepare and submit reports as required.
Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor at MB Sudbury Inc., you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring a high level of organization and attention to detail. You will be on your feet for extended periods, standing, walking, and bending, as well as using a combination of sitting and standing throughout the day.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
