Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Public Health Director to lead our Public Health-Healthy Living services and programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight, program planning and development, implementation of best practices, and adherence to standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of public health programs and services
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure effective program delivery
  • Collaborate with community partners, leadership, and provincial colleagues to achieve shared goals
  • Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders to promote positive outcomes
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of direct clinical experience in Public Health-Healthy Living
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience leading a broad spectrum of health services
  • Experience participating in operational planning, implementing operational directives, and achieving formal quality, patient safety, service integration, and partner collaboration goals and objectives
  • Ability to build and lead a high-performing interdisciplinary team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Knowledge of risk management and patient safety
  • Knowledge of quality improvement/LEAN design
Education and Certification

You must hold a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (Baccalaureate Degree in other health-related disciplines may be considered) and be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $$105,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, and pension plan.

Location

This role is based in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, with occasional travel to other regional facilities required.
