We are seeking a highly qualified individual for a tenure-track faculty position in the Industrial Systems Engineering program at the University of Regina. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and conducting undergraduate lab courses in core industrial systems topics.
The University of Regina is a comprehensive institution that emphasizes excellence in teaching and research, as well as public service. Our Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science offers a range of programs, including Industrial Systems Engineering, and has a strong commitment to providing an excellent "systems approach" to engineering education.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in process engineering or industrial systems engineering, and will be familiar with common unit operations such as reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and distillation columns. They will also have experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting process and chemical equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and developing new labs, as well as Faculty and university service. They will be required to work successfully in a team environment and have superior verbal and written communications skills.
Responsibilities- Develop and conduct undergraduate lab courses in core industrial systems topics
- Conduct lab courses in Process Engineering and General Engineering areas
- Become familiar with common unit operations and process and chemical equipment
- Work successfully in a team environment and have superior verbal and written communications skills
- B.A.Sc. or equivalent in Process engineering or Industrial Systems engineering or a closely related area
- Diploma of Applied Science/Technology in Process engineering or Industrial Systems engineering or a closely related area
