Job Title: Customer Supply Chain Support

At Fastenal, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Supply Chain Support. This is an entry-level position that will provide a foundation of experience in customer relationship management and operations.

Job Summary:

The Customer Supply Chain Support will engage in a variety of activities to support the customer's supply chain, including responding to customer requests, managing inventory, placing and fulfilling orders, and executing inventory fulfillment within the customer facility. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be proficient in computer skills, and demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources relative to customer needs
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking
  • Place and fulfill orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Execute inventory fulfillment within the customer facility
  • SOURCE and quote new and existing products
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and implement new business processes
  • Monetize and report the value of supply chain management activities to the customer
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess or be working towards a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented
  • Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
  • Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
