Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Carfair Composites. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality fiberglass products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient production and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assemble fiberglass parts according to blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and equipment.
  • Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on fiberglass components, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting customer expectations.
  • Document non-conformities and issue NCP tags, maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality control efforts.
  • Train and assist other team members in assembly and repair techniques, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Adhere to Lean and 5S initiatives, continuously improving processes and reducing waste in the production environment.
  • Check blueprints for required assembly and finish specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping rules, maintaining a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in composites or a similar industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks, including reaching and bending.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment, making decisions that support the success of the team and the company.
  • Ability to work in harmony with others, maintaining a positive and professional attitude while contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  • Evidence of a satisfactory work record, including performance, attendance, and teamwork.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with issues logically and within company guidelines.
