The Care Aide will provide person-centered care to our residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Support residents with mealtime and ensure their nutritional needs are met
- Monitor and report changes in resident behavior or condition
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist with lifting and transferring residents, following established safety protocols
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized Care Aide program
- Active registration with the British Columbia Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
- Food Safe Level 1 certificate an asset
- Medication Administration Certification an asset
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility an asset
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
