Early Childhood Educator Opportunity

Adecco Canada is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our client's dynamic team in Gold River, BC. As a key member of the daycare team, you will play a vital role in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities, ensuring the health and safety of all children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Assist in planning and implementing programs that are culturally sensitive and cover healthy topics.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for the children.
  • Child Health and Well-being: Ensure the health and well-being of the children.
  • Activity Guidance: Guide, demonstrate, and encourage children's activities throughout the day.
  • Parent Communication: Assist with any parent questions and concerns, referring them to the Daycare Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Documentation: Document observations on the children and complete any reports where required.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the daycare team to develop and implement program improvements.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all daycare policies, rules, and guidelines for developmentally appropriate behavior are adhered to.
  • Professional Relationships: Build and maintain professional working relationships with parents and caregivers.
  • Environment Maintenance: Assist with maintaining a clean and safe daycare environment.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Certification: Certified ECEA (Early Childhood Educator Assistant) or currently enrolled in the ECE program.
  • Clearance: An RCMP clearance not older than one year, along with a Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Transportation: A valid Driving license and access to a transportation vehicle.
  • Regulations: Familiar with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in team settings.
  • Initiative: Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
  • Professionalism: Professional, responsive, with a positive work attitude.
  • Confidentiality: Experience with and an understanding of the importance of client confidentiality.
