About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Developer to join our team in Squamish, BC. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing next-generation IoT-based commercial building controls systems.
Job Description
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing low-level programming and embedded firmware solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop software in Real Time Operating Systems (e.g., Zephyr RTOS)
- Ensuring embedded system security through rigorous testing and validation
- Developing and maintaining Open Thread decentralized mesh networks, CoAP, Zephyr, and Linux expertise
- Working closely with the design team to read schematics and make design modifications or improvements as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in low-level programming, embedded firmware, and Real Time Operating Systems
- Strong understanding of embedded system security principles and practices
- Familiarity with Open Thread decentralized mesh networks, CoAP, Zephyr, and Linux
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
