Job Summary

The City of Toronto's Corporate Asset Management (CAM) Team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Solutions Integrator to join their team. As a key member of the CAM team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing the Corporate Asset Management program, which aims to establish strategic plans, guidelines, and frameworks for asset management practices in accordance with Ontario Regulation 588/17: Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure and City Council priorities.

You will work closely with the Manager, Corporate Asset Management to support data management and analytics, driving data-driven decisions on city infrastructure. Your expertise in data integration, warehousing, and analytics will be instrumental in building and maintaining the CAM data warehousing system, leveraging expertise in data analytics and system coding to apply novel analytical approaches and multi-disciplinary concepts to develop and implement innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement data management plans, policies, and procedures to ensure effective data collection, organization, and analysis.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing systems, including data integration, ETL processes, and data visualization.
  3. Apply advanced data analytics techniques, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining, to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions to support decision-making.
  5. Develop and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management and analytics.
Requirements
  1. Post-secondary education in a discipline pertinent to the job function, such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Analytics.
  2. Extensive hands-on experience with data integration, warehousing, and analytics, including on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
  3. Advanced knowledge of data analytics tools, including Python, SQL, and data visualization software.
  4. Strong research, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to apply data analytics techniques to complex problems.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
