We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics and labour and delivery, with a focus on providing patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide care to patients in various settings, including the labour and delivery area, combined mother/baby unit, level 1 nursery, and out/patient maternal newborn care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct fetal monitoring and provide education to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current NRP certification.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in obstetrics and/or labour and delivery.
- Fetal Monitoring Course and/or advanced knowledge and experience.
- Obstetrics Nursing Certificate or Midwifery.
- IBCLC or Lactation Certification Education is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
