We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Mine Closure team at ERM. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise for mine closure and reclamation planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop strategic closure goals, closure objectives, and associated criteria for mine closure projects
- Support the environmental approval and permitting process for capital projects, including new mines or expansions
- Lead and/or support a wide variety of services for mining projects related to capital project development and environmental assessments and permitting
- Develop and prepare mine closure cost estimates, asset retirement obligations (AROs), and recommendations for clients
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, science, or related discipline
- ~5+ years of relevant mining experience, including mine closure planning and environmental coordination
- Strong project management skills, including development of work plans, budgets, schedules, and project controls
- Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and 'people' skills
- Annual base pay of $88,810 - $100,860 CAD
- Discretionary performance bonus
- Comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and AD&D insurance
