The Director of Operations for Fantasyland Hotel is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the hotel and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Guidance: Provide strategic leadership and operational guidance to various management teams, including Front Office, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage departments.
- Operational Standards: Develop, implement, and uphold operational standards, quality assurance inspections, and guest satisfaction programs to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Hands-on Leadership: Take a hands-on approach to assist hotel departments when required and ensure smooth operations in the absence of the General Manager.
- Customer Service Focus: Lead by example as a customer service-focused presence on the floor, setting the standard for hospitality service and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
- Operational Initiatives: Provide hotel industry input on new operational initiatives or enhancements to the property and create business plans to achieve desired results.
- Escalation Issues: Assist the General Manager with escalation issues related to customer service concerns, employee relations matters, and quality control measures.
- Internal Collaboration: Work with internal Company departments to ensure adherence to hotel security, human resources, and IT standards and protocols.
- Financial Review: Review relevant financial reports and documentation to ensure proper operational efficiency and accountability.
- Experience: A minimum of seven (7) - ten (10) years of work experience in the Hospitality industry in a senior-level Hotel Management position in a large volume high-end hotel or resort property.
- Education: Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Hospitality and Management or a related discipline.
- Skills: Outstanding leadership, team building, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing dynamic environment.
- Financial Management: Strong financial and revenue management experience with a working knowledge of Hotel Rooms Division and Food and Beverage operations.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create a quality hotel experience for guests and build a cohesive and motivated team.
