Job Title: Automation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at Kuntz Electroplating Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The Automation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in our manufacturing plant. This includes working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), computer-aided design (CAD), and other automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain machinery and equipment in our manufacturing plant
  • Repair and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLCs and other control systems
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
  • Perform mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials
  • Work with CAD software to design and develop automation systems
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants
  • Test machines and equipment to ensure proper function
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Fast-paced environment and ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with efficient interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

Our manufacturing plant is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The work setting is manufacture-based, and the work site environment is noisy.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week.
