Michael Page International Canada Limited is seeking a highly skilled Plant Finance Manager to join their team in the GTA.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department at plant level, including managing 1 direct report. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading GTA-based company with multiple manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans and budgets, and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Financial Operations: Manage the accounting department's daily operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations; ability to display initiative and leadership when handling multiple job responsibilities, setting priorities, problem-solving, meeting deadlines, and driving process improvements.
