The Nova Scotia Health Authority's Outpatient Psychiatry Team is seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will provide direct clinical psychiatric outpatient care for children and adolescents, as well as emergency department services in conjunction with the crisis team.
The successful candidate will be based at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, with potential clinics in Digby and Shelburne. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical psychiatric outpatient care for children and adolescents
- Participate in program development, such as the behaviour disorders and early psychosis intensive program
- Offer consultations to other physicians and rural clinics
- Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
- Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
