About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Shop Foreperson to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our shop, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop staff to ensure seamless operations
  • Implement and maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program for all equipment and facilities
  • Manage parts inventory and ensure timely acquisition of materials
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations
  • Liaise with operations supervisors and drivers to maintain a smooth workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Manage equipment records and files

Requirements

  • Licensed Truck and Trailer Technician
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in shop operations and strong technical knowledge
  • Heavy Equipment License an asset
  • Experience with off-road construction equipment an asset
  • Strong technical knowledge of equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • CMMS knowledge
  • Strong self-management and organizational skills
