Retail Store Manager

Petro-Canada is seeking a Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing sales staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales staff to duties and ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service.
- Hire, train, and develop sales staff to meet the needs of our customers.
- Authorize payments, order merchandise, and manage inventory to meet sales goals.
- Establish work schedules and ensure a smooth day-to-day operation of the store.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Manage cash and oversee payroll administration to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
- Work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Stand for extended periods and move frequently throughout the store.
Personal Suitability:
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail management role.
