At Victoria General Hospital, we are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in surgical and emergency services.

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a skilled RN to work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality nursing services to patients with complex needs.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing independent nursing services to patients in surgical and emergency settings;
  • Administering prescribed medical treatments as required;
  • Facilitating coordination of patient care and discharge;

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize care for individual patients or groups of patients. Experience in surgery and emergency/observation would be an asset.

Education and Certification

A graduate of an approved registered nursing education program is required. Successful completion of a relevant post-basic program may also be required.

Active participation in professional associations such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) is preferred. The candidate must maintain registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and hold current CPR training certifications.

Working Conditions

This role requires moderate to heavy physical effort. The successful candidate must be able to adapt quickly to changing situations, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain concentration in a demanding and stressful environment.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
