Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

About the Role:
  • Provide on-going client care, observing and monitoring client status and reporting changes to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately, adhering to policy and procedure
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times, upholding Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Graduation from Grade 12, plus completion of an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Physical capability to manage frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory
  • Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset
