Job Title: Child Protection Case Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Child Protection Case Assistant to join our team at the Government of Saskatchewan. As a key member of our social services team, you will be responsible for providing support to children and families in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the investigation and assessment of child protection cases
- Develop and implement case plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children
- Collaborate with community partners to provide support services to families
- Provide information and referrals to families and community members
- Participate in court proceedings and provide testimony as required
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, child and youth care)
- Experience working with children and families in a social services setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in an office setting with occasional travel to community locations
- May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
