This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a range of appliances, from major domestic appliances to commercial equipment. Your expertise in appliance repairs will enable you to achieve industry benchmarks regarding repair quality and turnaround time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose and repair appliances to meet or exceed industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure accurate fault determination and achieve a high rate of first-time completion.
  • Safely handle propane and natural gas, adhering to Ontario installation codes and regulations.
  • Interpret technical manuals, specs, graphs, and other documentation related to gas meters and pressure regulators.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including paperwork and computer system entries.
  • Exercise care in avoiding errors and rework, paying attention to details to maintain a safe environment for associates and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong organizational skills, good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to effectively present information and provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service.
  • Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills to solve complex problems.
  • Proficient in using computers for work order systems, email, and training, requiring basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders.
