About the Role

As a Director, Data Scientist, you will lead a team of data experts in developing cutting-edge AI and ML models to enhance our authentication and authorization networks. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business growth and improving customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production-ready AI and ML models to detect and prevent fraud.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and performance metrics.
  • Leverage diverse data sources and build robust pipelines to provide high-quality datasets for analysis and modeling.
  • Optimize data pipelines for model building and performance evaluation.
  • Drive innovation and improvement of existing fraud detection models.
  • Oversee the development, testing, and evaluation of ML and AI models.
  • Implement and evaluate models based on business metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven data science experience and leadership skills.
  • Strong expertise in full lifecycle model development, deployment, and evaluation for complex problems.
  • Experience with SQL, PySpark, Hadoop, Databricks, and Linux/Bash environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • At least an undergraduate degree in CS or a related field.
  • Prior experience in payment fraud detection modeling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or Master's in CS, Data Science, ML, AI, or a related field.
  • Experience in data engineering and model building in PySpark using Spark ML on petabyte-scale data.
  • Understanding of bias, inaccuracy, and error evaluation methods.
