About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor - Packaging to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Packaging Rooms, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the work of Line Leaders, Material Handlers, and Packagers to ensure seamless production.
  • Monitor and report on production output, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Review schedules and optimize production processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job-specific packaging protocols.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse and Quality Assurance teams to ensure accurate issuance and reconciliation of packaging runs.
  • Partner with Mechanics and Line Leaders to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Complete and ensure accurate documentation, including batch records and production run documentation.
  • Monitor quality via in-process inspection processes in partnership with QA Inspectors.
  • Make recommendations to the Director on improving labor and machine efficiencies and reducing waste.
  • Participate in recruitment and candidate selection, and conduct employee orientations.
  • Schedule temporary resources as needed.
  • Oversee employee training, identifying needs and concerns, and consulting with the Director on how to address gaps.
  • Promote a positive working environment and encourage open communication.
  • Investigate and document production incidents and deviations.
  • Raise concerns and issues to the Director, including downtime, product concerns, and employee issues.
  • Prepare and issue a detailed shift report on a daily basis.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP and safety practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Packaging Room environment, including logbooks and documentation.
  • Monitor health and safety in the Packaging Rooms.
  • This role may require overtime and/or weekend work.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
