Job Title: Scrum Master

This role is responsible for ensuring that all requirements are defined and refined, and that they are supervised from end to end closure. The Scrum Master will drive the Agile (SAFE) ceremonies, represent the squad during PI planning, and ensure iterative improvement in quality and speed of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrum master role with strong Agile (SAFE) and JIRA knowledge
  • Manage JIRA Boards and drive Agile ceremonies
  • Work with software development teams to lead Scrum (Agile)
  • Own PI planning and corresponding activities
  • Drive deliveries, challenge teams on estimates, and deep-dive on project requirements
  • Work with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and supervise sophisticated and critical deliveries
  • Ensure progress against important landmarks where consistent and coordinated implementation is required
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Agile (SAFE) and JIRA experience
  • PI planning experience for priorities, objectives, and plan work for Program Increment
  • Release Management experience
  • Prior experience in Software Development or Quality Assurance
  • Understanding of technology and participation in discussions associated with Manulife's products
  • Awareness of full-technology stack
  • Strong understanding of interconnections between various business priorities
  • Reflects on and improves behavior
  • Demonstrates all core skills and interpersonal skills beyond requirements for role
  • Understands the overall 'picture' in situations
  • Constantly learns from both success and failure
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities
