About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at Avon Cabinet Installation Ltd. As a Construction Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up scaffolding.
  • Material Handling: Transport and store construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assisting Tradespeople: Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with their tasks and projects.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the storage of materials and tools.
  • Supporting the Team: Provide support to other team members as needed, including assisting with tasks and projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions.
