Job Title: Construction Labourer and Helper

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at Desire Peak Construction Inc.

Job Summary:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will assist in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and lubricating equipment, and assisting in the construction of buildings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other equipment
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-7 months of experience in construction or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
