Job Title: Welding Specialist

Icons Reno INC is seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team. As a Welding Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and safe welding practices.
  • Determine weldability of materials and select appropriate welding techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • Pressure Welding Certification.
  • Experience with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
