About the Role

iFathom is seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Developer to join our team. As a Guidewire Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions using Guidewire tools and accelerators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Requirements Review: Review software requirements efficiently to ensure that they meet the needs of the business.
  • Architectural Design: Build architectural diagrams and design documents to visualize the software system.
  • Screen Design: Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes to improve the user experience.
  • Software Development: Write programs, configure, package, and deploy software to meet the business requirements.
  • Coding Standards: Establish and follow coding standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Debugging and Testing: Debug and unit test the code to ensure that it meets the requirements.
  • Peer Code Reviews: Perform peer code reviews to ensure that the code meets the coding standards.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior resources to help them develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in Guidewire Application Development.
  • Guidewire PC Configuration: Must work on Guidewire PC Configuration.
  • Guidewire Cloud Certification: Guidewire Cloud Certification is a must.
  • Domain Knowledge: Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Agile Software Development: Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
Nice to Have
  • Programming Languages: Experience with coding in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python.
  • Relational Databases: Experience with relational databases and SQL – MS SQL Server.
  • Business Database Applications: Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.
  • Web Applications: Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.
  • Design Thinking: In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.
