Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team at MobileComm, Inc. as a Windows Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Windows-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Windows Systems Administration: Manage and maintain Windows servers, workstations, and related infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Active Directory and IIS Management: Administer Active Directory and IIS, ensuring proper configuration, security, and backup procedures.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and implement scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other programming languages to automate manual tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce errors.
  • UNIX Experience: Possess strong knowledge of UNIX, including Linux, CentOS, and Solaris, and be able to administer and troubleshoot UNIX-based systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the IT team to identify and resolve technical issues, share knowledge, and provide support as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, analyzing complex issues, and implementing effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Communication: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows Systems Administration in a production environment, with a strong background in Active Directory, IIS, and scripting.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, IIS, and UNIX, including Linux, CentOS, and Solaris.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools, such as DSC, Group Policies, Ansible, Puppet, and Code Management Tools (GIT).
  • Agile and Scrum: Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments, with a strong understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with the IT team and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft administrator or system engineer certification(s) a plus.
  • Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with networking concepts, including Avamar and NetBackup, Ivanti, EPO, CA Unified Infrastructure Management, VMware, SAN, and NAS technologies.
  • Server Knowledge: Knowledge of different types of servers and chassis, including Microsoft products such as IIS and AD.
