About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in our Quality Improvement program to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Distribute medications to residents as per their medication schedules.
  • Perform treatments and make assessments regarding changes in residents' conditions.
  • Update resident care plans to reflect their changing needs.
  • Complete all necessary charting and documentation for residents on your unit.
  • Facilitate communication with nursing staff regarding care or concerns.
  • Initiate referrals to interdisciplinary team members as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with departments to ensure the best possible care and service for residents.
  • Utilize resources effectively by managing nursing supplies and equipment.
  • Provide direction to front-line nursing staff on equipment and supply usage.
  • Supervise and investigate staff actions or concerns.
  • Redirect and mentor front-line healthcare staff as needed.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and participate in in-services and fire drills.
Requirements
  • Recognized nursing license (LPN) and good standing.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and MDS/RAI.
  • 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience working in a union setting.
  • Resident-oriented individual with a vision and values aligned with Verve Senior Living.
