Job Title: Drilling Floorhand

We are seeking a skilled Drilling Floorhand to join our team at Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership.

Job Summary:

The Drilling Floorhand will be responsible for assisting in the drilling and well service operations on our rigs. This includes manipulating sections of pipes or drill stems, handling and moving drill pipes and tools, and cleaning up rig areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and equipment
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials
  • Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits
  • Clean up rig areas
Requirements:
  • Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) basic safety orientation (BSO)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection
  • Standard First Aid Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment:

The Drilling Floorhand will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding conditions. The work site environment includes outdoors, at heights, confined spaces, and dangerous conditions.
