Job Summary

Brown Boys Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and durable surface for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a large workload and tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and work under pressure.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability
  • Ability to work in a team environment
