Job Summary

The Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role in overseeing the movement of goods and materials within our organization. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Logistics Manager in managing the shipping and receiving department
  • Coordinate with IFP and Mill Operations to ensure efficient production and shipping schedules
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize shipping schedules
  • Work with customers to resolve urgent needs and appointments
  • Ensure that loads are shipped securely and damage-free
  • Assist with the setup of new transportation load patterns and routing
  • Manage demurrage costs and oversee on-site trucking operations
  • Coordinate with the Production Department to ensure quality standards are met for outgoing products
  • Oversee shipping and receiving mobile equipment training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a shipping coordinator
  • Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to learn various company software packages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift
