Position Overview: The Lead Mechanical Engineering Associate will be instrumental in spearheading mechanical engineering initiatives, supervising personnel, and propelling business development strategies. This leadership role is perfect for a driven professional eager to progress to a Principal position and contribute significantly to the company's future achievements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the design and implementation of mechanical systems across diverse projects, including healthcare, institutional, and public sector facilities.
- Oversee and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, promoting a collaborative and high-achieving work environment.
- Foster business development by identifying new prospects, nurturing client relationships, and engaging in proposal and bidding processes.
- Supervise project management tasks, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless and integrated project execution.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, particularly in building systems.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, with a successful track record of managing teams and projects.
- Strong business development acumen, with the ability to cultivate and sustain client relationships.
- Excellent project management capabilities, with proficiency in handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other pertinent tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
