Application Developer Position in Regina

Our team is seeking a highly skilled professional to join us on a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Regina, Saskatchewan.
About the RoleThis Application Development & Support role is responsible for maintaining both packaged and custom applications. The ideal candidate will ensure quality assurance, provide user support, manage configurations, while overseeing capacity and performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving production application and data problems to keep systems operational and stable.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and design software applications based on business requirements.
- Ensure security measures are in place and data privacy compliance is adhered to.
- Write code using technologies such as Java, .NET, Python etc.
- Conduct testing and resolve coding issues.
- Develop user interfaces.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot as needed, including application patches and updates.
- Create technical documentation of the architecture and design of applications, including troubleshooting procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MSSD) Certification.
- Experience developing and supporting various development environments.
- Experience developing or maintaining a .NET class library.
- Experience producing secure, excellent quality code.
- Knowledge of SQL stored procedures (transact SQL).
- Knowledge of entity frameworks is required.
- Knowledge of SQL reporting services is required.
- Knowledge using Oracle and MS SQL databases and SQL coding is required.
- Broad understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft technologies is required.
- Significant analytical experience, demonstrating problem-solving ability.
- Significant technical consulting experience utilizing desktop tools.
- Proven testing skills and techniques.
- Proven documentation skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that while all applications are appreciated, only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
